We're a small, family-run business in Carmel, Indiana. We take your privacy seriously and only collect what we need to make and ship your order, send you updates, and run our business responsibly.

This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it — in plain English.

Who we are

Keeper Moments ("we," "us," "our") is a custom photo product business operating at keepermoments.com and at in-person events. Our studio is located in Carmel, Indiana.

How we use your information

We use your information only for the purposes you'd reasonably expect when placing an order with a small custom-goods business:

SMS text messaging

We send transactional SMS only. We do not send marketing text messages without separate explicit opt-in. We will never sell or share your phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes.

When you provide your phone number at checkout or at one of our event booths, you consent to receive transactional text messages about your order. These messages include:

Message frequency and costs

Message frequency varies by order. Most customers receive 3–6 messages per order. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

How to opt out

You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. You'll receive a final confirmation message and then we'll stop sending texts. To opt back in, reply START or contact us at hello@keepermoments.com.

Phone number sharing

Your phone number and SMS opt-in consent information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are only shared with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) strictly to deliver the messages you've consented to receive.

Email communications

We send order-related emails (confirmations, upload links, shipping notices) to the address you provide at checkout. We may occasionally send product updates or news about our business — you can unsubscribe from non-transactional emails anytime using the link at the bottom of those emails.

Photos you upload

Photos you upload to Keeper Moments are stored securely and used to produce and deliver your order.

Unless you opt out, we may also use your uploaded photos and photos of finished products in our marketing materials (website, social media, email newsletters, advertising), as outlined in our Terms of Service. We never sell your photos, never use them in ways that misrepresent you, and never feature identifiable minors in marketing without separate written consent from a parent or legal guardian.

How to opt out: Check the "Don't use my photo in marketing" box during checkout, or email us at hello@keepermoments.com with your order ID. We'll remove your photos from active marketing materials within 30 days.

If you'd like us to delete your uploaded photos from our systems entirely after your order is fulfilled, email hello@keepermoments.com and we'll remove them.

Each of these providers handles your data under their own privacy and security policies, and only receives the specific information required to do their job.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working (remembering what's in your cart, staying logged into admin tools) and to understand general site usage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.

California residents

If you're a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). These include the right to know what personal information we've collected about you, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of any sale of your information. (We do not sell personal information.)

Data retention

We keep order information for as long as needed to fulfill orders, support customers, and meet our legal and tax obligations — typically 7 years for financial records. Uploaded photos are retained while your order is active and for a reasonable period afterward for reprints or customer support, but can be deleted sooner upon request.

Children's privacy

Our services are intended for adults (18 and older). We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure payment processing through Stripe, and access controls on our systems. No online service can guarantee 100% security, but we take this seriously and continuously work to protect your data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business grows or as laws change. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll notify you by email if we have your address on file.
